Default t6 turbo time..ideas..

i think i have decided to go ahead and do the turbo upgrade vise trying to get this tc78 to go further. but i do have some ideas/questions.

1. do i run my trick hot pipes i have now or build purpose built t6 set up?

2. do i make the pipes a true divided to the turbo being that its a divided hot side or just run them to one open hole? (if i make new pipes)

my thoughts on this; the trick set up is a t4 setup granted i can get an adapter, it is the first gen manifold. it works outstanding for what i have now however, i'm not sure if it will be ok with the weight of the BW turbo. If i do make new pipes i can use stock manifolds and run the cross over tube in front of the engine and have room for a 3.5-4" down pipe. my tahoe has rear A/C so room over there is limited.

if i run a true divided set up to the turbo i figure i can run a pipe off each runner to one wastegate so that i don't have to run two gates. just have the gate pipes pick off right before the flange.

Build new pipes. The gen 1 manifold you have will not like the heavy weight of the Borg. Turbo.

If you want to run a divided hot side properly, you will need to route every other cylinder together (firing order wise). This will be complicated because you will have cylinders from both banks crossing and combining.

I think we can fit a larger dp for you. Would be a custom build.
An keep the over all look of what you have.
Question is why T6. Make huge power with a T4 Borg.

No need to build a true divided housing on a v8, especially a 6.0. I would say a T6 s480 with a 92mm or 96mm turbine and 1.10 ar. I would run the 96 but I don't mind a little slower spool up

S480/96 is the plan with the 1.32. Some people make a 1.1 for it but it's specially machined for it but I heard it makes the housing thin and really cuts down on the 96's flow. I think at 6,000lbs, 3:73's, awd and 3200 yank it should spool real nice. I have a lot more load then most people.

This turbo load thing has spiraled out of control lol. I am working on another writeup though...hopefully clear up some of this 'load' mystery. Your turbo is loaded to the maximum the moment you open the throttle all the way. Transient response if what you're talking about
