If it's off an earlier v, it should be set up for cathedral port heads which is what you need. You should post some pics of what all is included, for that price it would be worth swapping accessories.

Agree....but there just about has to be a fly or two in that ointment. Why is he taking it off? If it's a supercharged CTS-V, he'd be nuts to ditch it. $50K car that won't be worth squat without the charger. If it's an earlier CTS with the LS2 motor, it could be a bargain. Probably a Maggie MP112; but, for 500 bucks, you can't go too far wrong. At that price, you have "room" to hustle a little bit to make it fit.

Save your money, it will take more to make that fit than it would to buy a new 112 for your truck.

If its a stock LSA blower, it won't work no matter what on your 4.8. The belt won't line up, but thats solveable. The rectangle port heads is the deal breaker, you can't run those heads on a 4.8 due to the valves being too big for the smaller bore of the 4.8/5.3 cylinders. If it works and is mostly complete, there is some money to be made on it though, thats for sure.

I bet he has the blower of the northstar that was SC, it was in the earlier big v cars...guy around me has one listed on Clist But I know for a fact its not a blower off a LS2. The LSa is only in the new ctsv. been there getting excited but its not the part.
