Ok there a guy I know selling me a supercharger off a cadillac cts v question is how good are those stock sc and will I have problems installing it on my 4.8

 

That supercharger should be for rect port heads. So if your 4.8 has cathedral port heads, it wont work on your 4.8.

 

It's probably set up for a car. So you would have trouble aligning the belt, unless you had f body pulleys, such as water pump, alt, power steering. The only supercharged cts-v's are the new ones the lsa engines? If so then the heads are diff as mentioned above

 

Man that sucks I kinda had my hopes up but I'm glad y'all cleared that up before i found out the hard way

 

Depending on what you can get it for, getting the car accessories and head might not be too bad though.

something is wrong with it then. Or it isn' the new ctsv charger. Could be some after market something but not likely. When things are too good to be true. . . . . .

 

is it a factory v blower from a current model or an aftermarket one from a first gen v?

 

It's off an earlier v I'm just not going to do the deal I rather just wait and get a new kit to be safe

 

As long as it is intrrcooled and has pump and radiator it is not a bad system
