If you leave your car in the garage you probably would be fine too.

It works out for both locations in florida since it never freezes they can make use of a better coolant option. But here in texas where it does get nice and cool during the fall winter I would assume the blower runs a whole lot better with ambient temps being far down, but yes you have to factor in dexcool. Its a give an take situation.

Nothing wrong with dexcool I will run it in the engine and blower.
My tank is about the same as well, got biggest I could comfortably fit. Which should aid in better cooling. I went to orileys today to look at some stuff and they only sell 50/50 mix here. Nothing concentrate, I guess is ok just paying for their markup on water and coolant

I run a contrasting color coolant from the engine, so if there's a leak/issue I can isolate one system from the other. Usually Dexcool in a GM, and then a blue Nissan coolant in the intercooler system. Make sure to check freeze point depending on the climate the vehicle will be in.

same here. i actually just bought some generic gold, mix-with-anything version to flush my intercooler system out in a few weeks.
dexcool in the car, so i wanted another color for the blower. i looked at the blue & purple ones, but they're apparently silicate-hybrid OAT, and i didn't want to risk a clog after having previously ran dex in the blower.
