Default Coolant changed to Water/Water Wetter- WORKS AWSOME

so last week i had basically a full tune up-
new cap/rotor
new plugs
changed coolant to water/water wetter mix
tranny flush
royal purple oil put in.

a couple of you where interested. the whole system was filled with just water. then added 1 bottle of water wetter. the truck runs @ 160 all the time now. even in the florida heat we have been having. even running the a/c it stays down for 10 to 15 minutes @ 160* F. before i could never keep the truck below 200*F. i love the stuff works great.

ANOTHER PLUS- IT COOLS DOWN MUCH FASTER. takes about 20 to 30 minutes for truck to get back down to 150 to 160 after a run @ the track.

i hot lapped the truck 3 times @ the local 1/8th mile. prolly 2 to 4 minutes in between runs. engine temps never went over 200* F.

this is on a stock clutch fan and a 160* T-stat.

Its good stuff for sure, be careful in the winter time because I don't think it offers any anti-freeze protection.

although a quick google and i see florida's record cold was -2* in February 1899. LOL Average low temp is 39*.

I've never done much reading up on the water wetter, I guess I never "needed" it, but that's definitely interesting stuff there. Especially the faster cool down, who'd a thunk it.

yeah we will see. winter is over here. so i @ least got another year with this stuff. gonna need it for the summer..... going to E-fans, and an aluminum radiator just to keep the truck cool under any circumstances.
