You should have the small red spring; 1.875 OD. That will give you 5.8psi. There is no black spring from Tial. How much boost did the seller say he was running?
You may be looking at the wrong thing.

I am looking @ the right spring. I posted the diameter of the metal itself. I will check the measurements when I get home. I think the paint is worn off. Thanks

P.S.edit
The guy I bought it from never got to install it.

Far as I know, sts only shipped yellow or red wg springs.

Anything else would have to be special ordered.

The whole spring isn't painted, just a little sprayed on the side.

Carefull putting it back together. It's real easy to pinch the rubber diaphram.

Use a vise if you have you have one.

And watch that you don't strip the threads.

Not saying you are lame, just giving you a headsup.

Took the wastegate apart. Sure nuff. Painted red 1and7/8 " spring is in there. There is some residue in there , maybe balled up lubricant or something. Thanks Hemi, I always take any hints I can get. I am master technician, but a turbo newbie Thanks guys !

ps Any idea what the smaller black spring is for??

I did not get any loose springs with my kit. I think they just put it in there to confuse you. LOL

It was probably just included in error. How big is it aside from the wire size you already posted?
