Default STS vs. ProCharger

I am new to this site but am very excited to have finally found a place where i can carry on a conversation... I have a few questions to start out with, I am interested in adding a turbo upgrade to my truck and was curious on which is better, the STS systems or the Procharger intercooled supercharer systems? I am want a good amount of power but do not want to lose daily driver conditions. Any input would be appreciated.

welcome to the site! youll find many opinions on here. do a search in the forced induction section. itseems when this question is asked it starts a war. to answer your question first of all what exactly do you use your truck for? I really enjoy my STS for the power and daily driving is no problem, I also love the sound a turbo makes. Good luck in your choice .

Well if you want a turbo upgrade, then you should get a turbo. What are your needs and goals? How much horsepower do you want to make? Do you tow?

Thanks guys... I am hoping to achieve a 400-500hp truck when its all said and done. As of right now it is my daily driver but is quickly turning into another toy as I also own a 1973 Chevy El Camino SS which is in the process of being restored to its glory(and then some..) so I am on the hunt for a junker to drive to and from work so I can finally do some serious mods. I am needing to start ASAP as I am heading to school in the fall and want to take something worth attention. I have heard good things about both but I am leaning toward the STS.. but this strikes another question, I have true dual flowmasters on my truck.. will the turbo eliminate both mufflers or just one?

Cool

You will have to run both pipes together and then through the turbo. So it will eliminate both mufflers.

You cant have true duals with the STS kit. You will need a Y-pipe that connects to the turbo. if you like your exhaust loud then you should cut your cats.
