Default mufflers?????

I hate the sound of my turbo with no cats or mufflers. I was thinking of putting a 2 magnaflow 6" before the turbo. I have dueled 2 1/2 exhaust. I want to here more wistle and less popping and resanence. Any good ideas that have been tried? Here is a pic of my exhaust, thanks for any help.

i had 3.5" exhaust with 2 bullets inline and my truck was prety quiet. i probably had about 8' of exhaust after the turbo though.

i like your idea of two small strait thru magnaflows before the turbo. i bet that would quiet it down a lot without slowing the spool time too much. one of those mufflers has to be less restrictive than a cat doesn't it?

i think dynomax. do some looking on summit and see what "bullet muffler" comes up with.

they wont make it quiet but they might take the edge off. not really sure how much too loud it is for you right now.

I was in the same boat a couple of months ago, and this is what I ended up with. Quite most of the time and can be uncapped when I got to the strip. Didn't loose any of the whistle with it being after the turbo, but my new MP T-70 hardly has any whistle. I think it because it a lot bigger compressor and isn't turning as fast.

i want to put 2 straight throughs before the turbo. Has anybody tried this? I figure with the straight through design it should work. I just want to know it will make it quieter. I like a rumble I just dont care for the poping and raspt sound.

i think you should try it and let us know. i know a lot of sts guys pull the cats and then complain it is too loud and i bet a bullet will quiet about the same as a cat so i would sure think it would help a noticable amount.

I am going to order some magna flows, they are about $80 a piece. One other question is when do you reach full boost? My boost starts in at about 3000 and reach 12lbs at about 4200, is that good? I think using dual 2 1/2 has made it spool slower.
