Default STS help...

I need a PCV check valve. Is this something i have to get from STS or can i get it from a Napa, car quest, etc? Is it even needed or can i run without one?

There are two versions, the older version has no hole, the newwer version has a hole. you want the old version.. You should be able to buy them at any parts store...

Is there a certain size? What exactly does it do?

I put a one-way check valve in the line to the PCV from the intake manifold. I got it from a local NAPA store. It is very similar to the one STS puts before the turbo center housing in the oil supply line from the engine.

STS should have one if you cannot find one.

It keeps boost pressure out of the crankcase. Without it boost can pressurize the crankcase because the PCV Valve just has a small hole in it and there is no way for it the stop the boost pressure from the intake manifold.

No part #. I looked through my file twice but I have no idea what I did with the invoice.

It shouldn't be hard to find one at napa and it will be a lot cheaper. I put a normal PCV valve on mine with a breather and it helps it releave crank case pressure a lot better. If you tune your truck for speed density it won't see it as a leak.
