Default STS guys only !!!

My FLT level V 4l65 will be ready soon and the time has come to decide on a converter. I put this in the FI section because I need people that KNOW how a stall acts with a sts and a 6.0. I drive the truck everyday so no huge stalls. I want enough to leave the line with some boost, not lag.
side note: Why in the hell are you maggie guys reading this???

On my Lq9 with an STS kit using a GT67, I loved my PI stalled at 3000. It was my dd, and had very good street manners. I was also running an FLT L5 65E.

Chuck and Vince can hook you up. Whatever you decide, make sure you ask for a "turbo stator"

yank 3200 in my 80e. Do hydroboost conversion and you can leave the line on whatever psi you want!!

What rpm can you foot brake to and what PSI? Are you leaving off a 2 step?

It all depends on the turbo,engine,stall,camshaft.... I would not worry about the 2 step till it gets violent... I have had nothing but problems from mine... size matters also....... and will effect how they work... 9.5 - 10.5" you will be fine with a 3200... Then you can footbrake 3600+ 6psi or so ? that would be great

No sir... Unless you have hydra boost you will be doing great to see more then 4-5psi.. and i think thats pushing it 2wd... You can transbrake lots more but... you have to change the fluid ALOT

Thanks for the info. I have been under a rock for a year or two. I have not heard of the hydro conversion. I want my truck to pull away from red lights somewhat stockfish as I drive my GMC more than the Z. I would be worried I could not hook more than a couple of pounds of boost.
What do you guys thinks a circle d 3200 278mm would act like behind my combo?
Thanks again for the great info!!! Keep it coming.
