Default STS exhaust

What size exhaust are you guys running after you Turbo? What size Turbo and how much boost?

Right now i have 3" goin to a 20" long magnaflow (12259) and then another couple feet of 3" pipe.

Think this is too restrictive for 10psi? On lower boost (6#) i can see how it doesnt matter as much cause alot of the exhaust is goin out the wastegate. but on higher boost just wondering if a 4" exhaust could free up some power on 10-12psi...

Dont hate but im thinking about goin with this muffler..

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/d...rtnumber=12594

Run the turbo to one 3" inlet and the wastegate to the other 3" inlet.. and run a 4" tailpipe.

So?

just a quick question.. what size A/R are you using with your 76mm turbo? I have a 67mm turbo (GT4094R) with 2 diffrent size turbine housings one is a 1.19A/R and the other is a .95 A/R

yea that seems like a good idea to me to run 2 3" pipes to the turbo then a single 4" out the back..

Tommy, its a MasterPower 76 with a .68ar exhaust housing. thats all i know

Blownchevy,
i tried something similar to yours a few times. it was still kinda loud. so i went this muffler and its nice and quiet even when towing.

Im thinking bout this 3" DI/4"SO being 28" long it should be super quiet. and i have some 4" pipe to make a tailpipe with.
just be glad to get the wastegate back into the exhaust. even tho the wastegate sounds cool its stupid loud.

Blownchevy, you ever drive that truck? haha the underside just dont look right all clean and stuff.

Get a cut-out nonnie. With 3" exhaust going through a magnaflow on high boost I would only see 9-10psi. With the cut-out open it would jump to 17psi. I have one sitting on my shelf if you want it.
