In theory, the stock MAP sensor will not be able to detect any changes in pressure above ambient. Scaling an output that isn't changing won't be of any use.

What's wrong with the IAT that's in the MAF sensor?

If everything is tuned properly you will not notice a difference in table resolution between the 2 and 3 bar. Hell I ran NA for a while on a 3bar sensor. The lower resolution is not that big of a deal.
Ok. That makes sense to me. I hope everyone posting and trying to be smart *** reads this first. Thanks.

I wouldn't want to use the Iat in the maf bc the maf is just another obstacle in the intake path. Its too easy to just get a iat sensor and set it up

I found this IAT on ebay that comes with bung and connector plug.

This is true but he is spraying 3 meth nozzles and using e85 or race gas for safety. Jarrett is also doing his own tuning so he can make adjustments on the fly. I guess the pixie dust is magic that won't work with a 2 bar sensor.

3 bar it and be done, you'll want it in the future if you want to go with more boost. i can't see it taking him 4 hrs to setup the tune for that at all.

I am going with SD tune using 3-bar GM old style map or 3.3-bar Dmax LS style map sensor.

Can any recommend one over the other from the point of better tuning and idle characteristic. I mean GM 3-bar vs GM Dmax 3.3 bar map sensors.
