Explain what? I'm just trying to understand why you don't wan't to go with a 2.5 or 3 bar set up. You will get much better resolution with the SD tunes, making for a safer tune IMO.

If you don't plan on going over 15 psi go 2 bar, ditch maf and get a threaded iat sensor and weld in a bung.

Do u have PN for the indivitual IAT and does it come with a bung. Also, what to do with wiring it as stock IAT uses the stock maf plug and I don't want to cut that maf plug.

This is my target, to use Dmax 3.3 map and tune it SD mode but I though you said why hassle with 2/3 bar map tune.

Just buy this 2 bar sensor which is a direct swap. If you aren't going over 15psi you don't need to lose the resolution by going to the 3.3bar sensor.

If you decide to get rid of your maf then you can buy a sensor like this.

If you go with an iat sensor like that you have to cut two wires out of the maf harness and run to the iat sensor. You don't need a bung for it. I drilled and tapped my intercooler pipe and put it in with rtv and it hasn't leaked in 5 years. You can leave your maf in but I have blown two of them in half so I deleted it out.

No I didn't say that. If I were you, I would get rid of the MAF the first time and not have to worry about it later. Get the correct map and IAT sensor and haul ***

Sure, if he scaled it.

I maxed out a stock maf on 10psi with a 5.3...I didnt want to bother with scaling so I just went straight 2bar sd on that setup and its been great. If everything is tuned properly you will not notice a difference in table resolution between the 2 and 3 bar. Hell I ran NA for a while on a 3bar sensor. The lower resolution is not that big of a deal.

You need to find a tuner better at communicating and or tuning or we will all be subscribing to your rebuild thread.

Have fun with your SD tune using the IAT in your MAF. I would be looking for a new tuner if someone told me they could "scale" a stock 1 bar for boosted SD while using a stock IAT.

You can get the threaded IAT from autozone, the number is SU107. But I would also buy the bung. You can actually get the bung, iat sensor, and pigtail all from RPS. Just cut the two IAT wires out of your maf harness and solder the new pigtail to it.
