stock 6.0L and boost- DO THEY MIX?
#1
Does the stock 6.0L handle boost pretty good? Isnt there compression like 9.4:1 or something? What about there full injectors and fuel system- can it handle 15psi (thats kinda what i wanna run)- If so are the injectors easy to replace?
Questions-
1.) Can the 6.0 handle 15psi on stock fuel system and bottom end easily for a long time?
2.)Are the injectors easy to replace or they poppet or w/e style that is almost impossible to go any bigger on.
3.)Is the 6.0L much bigger than than 5.7L as far as block demensions and can 5.7L heads and engine mounts mount to them?
4.)Are they pretty easy to rebuild?

1. 15 may be pushing. With a good tune 10 will work fine. You will need a larger fuel pump in addition to injectors.
2. They are easy to replace. Takes about 1 1/2 hours.
3. Block are the same size. Strokes are the same bore is different. 5.7 is Al and 6.0 is iron. All part are interchangeable.
4. Easy to build.

1. 15psi is possible, but with a very efficient intercooled system and extremely good programming.
2. the injectors are fairly easy to replace depending on what you replace them with.
3. which 5.7L, the gen I, gen II, or gen III.
4. yes, easy to rebuild. easy for me may not be easy for you though...

the 6.0L is a bit bigger than the gen II 5.7L. not enough to really make the swap any more difficult though. i believe the motor mounts are different from the gen II small block to the gen III, but not confirmed at this point.
