Default Throttle Body

Has anybody put a larger TB in there trucks? I am thinking about the 80 mm BBK, Just wanted to know if anybody has an opinion on it. And will the Radix Air tube fit on it.

Also their is this guy that has a 2005 Mustang GT automatic, CAI, chip, and exhaust with 20" wheels that wants to race for a 100.00 bucks. will I be wasting my money or do I have a shot? I think I read somewhere that they do 13.9 in the 1/4

I'm unsure about the TB but about the race, pulley it down and then run him for insurance.

I'm running a 90mm FAST throttlebody it did pickup some boost and horsepower. There are some drivablity issue with the FAST throttlebody,I'm going to try a UMIracing throttlebody to see if the drivability is better.I did have to modify the intake on my Radix to make the throttlebody fit and I used a rubber Fernco cplg to make the throttlebody fit the Radix inlet tube.

I would like to see some pictures if you have them available. According to blown, he picked up 52hp on the engine dyno with his 90m ls2. Please keep us posted on how the UMI TB works out, supposedly it is an awesome TB.

Do you know how much hp or boost you gained?

I have ran an 05 from a roll and beat him by about a car length. My advise is to race for exactly a quarter mile because when you shift to 3rd, he will catch and beat you. My buddy has a Z28 and runs 13.6's. I can usually beat him by 1/2 car length to about 90, at that point he blows by me. It will definately be a good race.

Those 20's will hurt him in the traction and ET department bad.

The UMIracing throttlebody really seems to be a dramatic improvement over the 90mm FAST,I can actually modulate the throttle enough steer the truck with the my right foot. Before I had to be carefull going around corner to keep from losing control.I give the UMIracing throttlebody a definant thumbs up.

I agree the UMI Tb Parabolic throttle bore eliminates normal tip in hesitation. Thumbs up to UMI!
