Starting my Trick Turbo install

You should be able to modify the tables correctly if you do it at the pump. I added a programmable gauge to my truck that works great. You just tell it when it is empty, then fill the truck up and tell it that it is full. It has presets built in too but none of them match our senders

Just a little update, in case anyones looking... Gotta backtrack a bit, came into a bit of extra cash and decided to do a cam swap instead of leaving the little 4.8L all stock. Ordered a custom cam from Bullet, 227/228, .605"/.605" on a 115 LSA, 110* ICL. Hopefully the stock bottom end will hold 650-750 ponies for long enough to let me save up enough bread for a forged 370. If it lasts long enough and still hasn't cratered when the new motor arrives, the boost will be increased substantially. I've heard of these little motors holding up to a ridiculous amount of power... Wouldn't hurt my feelings any if it lived for a quite a while making as much power as 25+psi would make. I'll try and make sure I have the GoPro going any time I take a cruise if I do get to crank up the boost on the stock rotator. Damn sure don't want to let a spectacular explosion go unrecorded. LoL

If you are considering that much boost on stock pistons you need to pull them, re gap the rings and have them coated... In all honesty I wouldn't go thru that trouble if this is an in between engine. Just run it on 10-15psi until you have funds for the engine you want. Have it built, then pull your 4.8 and keep it for backup. Honestly. I don't know of a single "built" engine that's been subjected to boost that's lived as long as they said it would for various reasons.

I also thought the cam was a bit large, but that's what the guy at Bullet recommended when I told him about my setup.

Bringing the thread back... Finally getting some disposable income that I can use on the truck. Anyone have any suggestions on a wideband kit? Or gauge? Is all I need just a gauge and sensor or something more? The truck will run on e85 if that matters. Thanks for any help.

Going with a bit smaller of a turbo for a while till I can get a good stout 370 built. God forbid the amount of hell I'm going to catch for this lol... Ordered a cheap 76mm ebay turbo that looks like its going to work pretty well with the cammed 4.8L... I wouldn't be going cheap like this, but, as usual in the life of a farmer, this year's income wasn't quite what I was hoping for. Better than going deeper into debt... But not good enough to afford the use of top brand name components at this time. From what I've heard, the turbo I ordered is no slouch, and should work quite well for what I'm doing.
