I've been running MSD wires with the bendable boots ever since I've been boosted and haven't had any problems. I have the trick log and summit heat shields. Summer is coming though so I am anxious to see if any melt.

That's what I have been trying to figure out. I gas fouled the hell out of the new out of the box ngk's. The whole driver side of the motor was flooded. I pulled them out and used some maf cleaner in them but that was after I finally got it to start. So I guess I'll have to do plugs and wires come pay day.

Where do guys get the Taylor's or the msd's? It's been a long time since I got good plug wires. Back when I got the ones for my Honda I happen to find a speed shop here in jax. It moved now and seems to only do ford stuff and old school sbc.

I need to make a cold start video of this motor. With the huge piston wall clearance it has I was told it would have bad piston slap when it's cold. I think it's the quietest ls motor I've had. I know it's off topic but it makes me happy. Bearing clearance are middle of the road of stock limits and has 40psi hot. Anything over idle it's at 60psi.

Would the coil packs get too hot if they were mounted some how on the block under the manifold?
