Yup. And if youre quick to stab the throttle and a tight converter I'd bet it does that with even less than half...

I tend to agree with you on the DD thing.

The problem with the turbo is the MASSIVE underhood heat. Down here in TX I'm always worried about melting something or blowing my AC line.

And correct, the boost is not instant. Many who've done both have already said the blower is more fun and better for a DD.

Yeah that heat is what i believe made my boost controller not work sometimes. It is located on the passenger side firewall. It works fine in the morning on my way to work. On my way home i usually encounter traffic. On the way home it works sometimes.

Haven't had any issues with my eboost mounted on the firewall directly behind the engine.

My truck had instant boost, but died off around 5600... setup was a 10.6 to 1 346ci with a 70mm .70ar turbo and a 212/218 cam. Still wasnt as fun as my buddies ccsb with a tvs1900 and a 3.2 pulley.
