Does anyone what size AN fittings that the pump etc take? I want to get rid of these leaking fittings and use aluminum fittings and stainless steel braided line.

 

I think they're AN-3. But don't take that to the bank.

 

I hope not. I only see -6AN to -12AN fittings Is it the larger the number the larger the hose or the opposite??

 

-6 is what you would use for fuel lines, and -12 is what you use for heater hose. -3, and -4 is what you'd use for boost gauge, and fuel pressure gauges. I don't have a meth kit, but those fitting sizes you gave sound awful big.

 

The -# refers to 16ths, so -3 is 3/16 ID and -4 is 4/16 ID or 1/4"

 

I bought new tubing and it says 1/4" so Im assuming that -4AN fittings would be a direct fit???
