From what I've learned in working on trucks with Radix's, a larger heat exchanger only helps in keeping the IAT's slightly lower in traffic and helps to bring them down faster after a long WOT blast. It doesn't do alot for the temps while you're actually on the throttle. When you're using a pulley smaller than a 3" you are spinning the blower fast enough to make more heat than the intercooler can really remove it.

would it be safe to run a 2.9pulley,
currently have 3.1pulley= 9#s w/18*'s of timing
2.9pulley=???? and ??*'s of timing

cuz i dont think my 2.75 was killing me to much do to the tbstall i had, which lost alot of topend, and if going with the 2.9pulley what would be my timing if now im at 18*s with the 3.1
