I’m 4x4 as well and it was easier to do the filter/cooler block than accessing the oil pressure fitting behind the block

You have to remove the driveshaft?

I am AWD and getting to the oil filter adapter is still easy.

Nope didn’t have to remove it. It’s only 4 bolts on the drive shaft to remove and it is still easier than the rear oil sending unit I think.

I leave the driveshaft in. No issues.
