Not that a 1518 can't handle the boost. It can and people run them with no problem, but if you need to swap springs for the cam, why not go dual? Just added insurance for short money.

Definitely good point, but the the conversation was putting an ls9 cam in a truck previously fitted with an ls6 cam and an almost new set of springs. So neccesarily wouldnt need to swap springs for the cam.

Im going to go with patriot duals...had them in my last 6.0 and I was happy with them even though 35, 000 miles might be short lived in a DD.

A little over 34K. I know it is over the "recommended" mileage but my cam lobes aren't real aggressive. But now that I am aware of the actual miles on them, I will be changing them sooner than later.
