the following is quoted from this ls1tech thread:

The more I think about what Jerry said, the more I think that he has something...if the new filtered inlet and the new inlet to TB both have the potential of increasing boost significantly...maybe it wasn't witnessed in late Summer due to the inefficient IC...45 degree weather and the higher flowing exhaust assisted in overcoming that obstacle...thus...a very significant increase in boost has now been witnessed...
Alot of guys have relocated their filtered inlet...but usually have increased the length of it by several feet...and bends...
several guys have upgraded their IC's...but with no change to the filtered inlet...or inlet to TB either...

I didn't read that other thread totally. What exactly did you do to the truck before this increase in boost?

thermostat change from stock to 160...
cats to straight pipe...
prior to that but during warmer weather...new filtered inlet...new inlet-2-TB...

My 2 cents.

your cats may have been a little restrictive to allow the motor to spin up faster after they were removed.
The lower temp on the stat will not change boost pressure.
Now this new air filter and inlet to the throttle body.
Who makes it?
by replacing this did you remove a good restriction out of the way
for the air to flow more free.
Give your procharger the ability to suck in more air.
Because if your belt was loose enough to lose 4 lbs of boost it should have been screaming.
you did not put on a smaller pulley to up the boost.

So I am back to clogged cats and a very restricted air flow.
With cats off and back pressure gone the motor will spin up faster.
with the restriction gone from the air flow the supercharger can work
like it should be working.

get you truck retuned, you may of had these problems from the start
But the problem was not bad enough to throw any codes.
Now that the problems are fixed you are not tuned for this higher power level.
