Should vented catch can be smoking on 6.0 LS?

A "pulsing out smoke ring" is a tale tale sign of a cracked/broken ring land. While the pistons isn't tearing it's self to pieces yet, it way down on compression and letting a bunch of compression past the rings and causing the "puff" of the smoke ring. I bet if you run a comp test, one hole will only have about 50psi of comp. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say its gonna be #7... lol
Replace motor if where me I would remove
Bad holes inspect ring and ring lands
And end gap and reassess...!!!

Number 7 always runs the hottest and so is usually the one to fail.
If it went in at 40 and came out at 20 pretty good bet that piston/debris hit it, or detonation alone forced it more together. Post a picture of the plug.

I little note, the threads get oily because when you get even little oil past the rings, it get pushed up the treads by compression before the flame is lit and then it stays there and doesn't get burned during combustion. A normal healthy LS motor shouldn't have any oil on the spark plug threads.
