shorties?
#1
I wanna get some shorty headers for my truck but was wondering if they will make a power difference with the maggie...
i would invest in long tubes but my exhaust it already scrapping everywhere (5/7) and they are illegal in Cali, and thorley tri-y are expensive.
all suggestions welcome

I'd stay away from the shorties. They aren't much better than your manifolds.
Most of the better fitting LT's and y-pipes I've seen fit inside the frame rails. The frame might drag, but the exhaust is still all tucked up out of the way.

That is an off-road y, without cats. They also make them with cats, they are small, and high-flow. Look up American Racing Headers, arguably the best quality and best fitting headers available.

Gears & posi are worthy upgrades, and probably should be done before headers anyways. But the ARH are stainless, have plenty of size options(built to order), and the best collectors you can buy. They are(in my opinion) worth the coin.
