Default returnless fuel system

I moved this from engine and performance for lack of responce, maybe it will do better here

Has anybody with a 2004 or newer switch from their returnless fuel system to a return system. I don't like the idea of not being able to adjust my fuel pressure regulator. I have been having fuel pressure problems for so long and I'm tired of it. I have dropped my tank twice and replace my pump once. Tomarrow I am installing the Magnason mega-volt replaceing my 145 amp Alt with a 235 Amp put in a yellow top battery but I am at the mercy of my fuel pressure regulator, I don't know what there pressure is set at. I drop down to 53 psi at wide open and lose power at 90 mph and above. I am at 58 psi at idle and when I turn my truck off it will drop 2 psi right away but than hold steady for quite awhile.
OH with key on and truck off I am at 58 psi
any thought or advice would be appreciated.

ya, seen it done many times, its the same basic system, only a pump that runs continuously and a fuel pressure regulator after the fuel rail, then a line back to the pump, I would think you could just allow the stock pump to run longer before it cuts out to build more pressure thou????

What fuel pressure problems have you been having? My 2004 AV has a Walbro GSS341 dropped in and runs a 54 psi rail and pushes Siemens 60# injectors. I dyno 500 RWHP and to this point have seen no issues with fueling. BTW, I am also dropping in a 180A alternator and red top this weekend due to my new e-fans and my obsession with retuning my PCM on a daily basis with HP Tuners....

How do you make the stock pump run longer?

Fla Bouy,
so you are running just 53 psi?
Maybe Brian or Moregrip will chime in on the best fuel pressure for the Radix

I am running a 54 psi rail as I stated before with the 341 in tank. I push 60# injectors and I do my own tuning with HP Tuners and have tuned IFR tables accordingly. Had no issues with fueling even though my blower is pushing beyond the 105 Kpa limit that HP Tuners will tune without going speed density...

I am also interested in knowing what it takes to convert to a return style setup. I asked a tech guy at MTI in houston about this and he said it was a headache because of something with the computer. I thought 03 was the change to a returnless however I could be wrong. If so, what does Parish's fuel system look like?

04 was the changeover year. I believe FlaBouy has a flex fuel(VIN Z) vehicle which runs at lower pressure/higher volume stock so it will at least have a different regulator. His pressure is not falling off at all if it is holding steady at 54 psi. The 60s will flow more fuel at lower pressure as long you have enough pump, adequate plumbing and the FPR is not spilling too much fuel back into the tank.

Simplest conversion would probably be to get a return style fuel manifold(the aluminum block that the FPR installs into) for the Radix fuel rail and run a return line back to the tank. You will have to install a well-sealed fitting in the top of the fuel module. Might have to do a little tuning if your current tune is compensating for the falling fuel pressure. No big deal.

Doesn't Parish have a fuel cell?

Wrong AV. So then your FP is also dropping from 58 to 54 at WOT? VIN T FP spec is 58-62psi.
