Default Reliability / Longevity

Performance asside, I know when run as Magnacharger recomends, the Radix should provide years or trouble free service, but what about the Turbo kits that are out now? What about when you start pullying down or turning up the boost (still keeping it under 10psi)? What are opinions for all around DD usability?

Well look how many factory turbo cars are on the road compared to SC cars. Especially now there are more and more turbo cars comming out. Plus in my oppinion I would rather replace a $800.00 turbo than a 3,000 + blower.

In the after market, you are more likely to replace a turbo than the Magnuson. We have customers with well over 150K on their blower with no issues at all.

To answer the original posters question, In my opinion anything above 10 psi on a stock motor is not going to last long. Having owned/driven both an STS and the Radix, the top end power of the turbo is undeniable, but the lack of low end power is missed. If you are looking for all around performance/reliability and a complete package that will give you "years of trouble free power"......The Radix is your drug.

Aside from this little pissing contest...
What WJ Mark said is right IMO.
Almost every major car company has a line of cars with turbo's and very few of them run their cars with Supercharger's. Every swedish company has turbo's on their line of cars, most top of the line german's have turbo's as do top of the line japanese imports! Don't get your paties in a bunch Brian we're not talking about which one is better cuz that could take a while.
Auto dealers have to warranty their **** and the fact that they use turbo's as power adders over S/C credits their reliability. That and the fact that turbo's have been shown...not proven, but shown to give better gas mileage. I hate having to cover my *** cuz, but might as well state that Mercedes and ford do have some S/C cars that are pretty bad ***. And a few of the supercars do favor S/C's. Only ones I can think of right now that use turbo's are the Saleen S7, Ferarri F-150 (which is really old), and the bugatti. Ford GT, Maclaren (mercedes) and a few others use S/C.
Anyways, IMO turbo's are more reliable, not better but reliable. If someone wants to post up a which is better thread...please do!!

Edit: Ferarri F-150 was wrong, I meant the F40...btw brian your a jerk.

I don't understand How you switch back and forth between the Radix being the best, Then You are all about STS and how much better it is????? So which one is better???? Not trying to stir up **** but damn! You confuse the hell out of me sometimes.

Never said the STS was better....I said the STS makes good top end power. The power of the turbo on the top end vs the MP112 that I had on the truck is night and day. You will never find me saying the STS is better than the Radix, its not possible for it to be better.....it just has the potential to make more power due to the availability of the bigger turbo.

Do I like the turbo system, yes...the power over the blower is better....Do I like driving it, sure its fun....simply because I have never owned one. Do I miss the low end of the Radix, Yes. I am luckier than some because I have had the opportunity to drive/own both on the same vehicle.

Again, I don't "hate the STS" I just do not like the lack of bottom end power, I NEVER said that the STS was the BEST.

Hope that clears up the confusion.
