Default Ran out of injector

I took the truck to get dyno tuned today and it ran out of injector at 5300 rpm it still has the stock flexfuel injectors 34lb. Are there injectors out there that are a direct swap with out having to cut wires. Will I have to upgrade the fuel pump also?

I would also contact Racetronix. I know Supersub found some injectors that plug and play on flex fuel vehicles. The pump should be good for a while. The stock flex fuel pump has been known to to be a good fuel supply for bigger squirters.

I have some 8.1 marine injectors that came with the kit wich should be a direct swap for the regular truck injectors. They wont connect to the harness because the the connector is not the same. My stock injectors have the 2 locking tabs and the connector is slightly bigger than the 8.1 marines with the single locking tab.

There are quite a few injectors out there that will fit your stock connector. The flex fuel injectors do have a different connector, you are correct about that.

ford racing makes a 60# injector that is a direct plug in. Due to their taller overall hieght you will have to use spacers under the fuel rails to mount them.
You can also buy a minitimer(old)style injector at the flow rating needed and use a pigtail adapter that will connect the two different style injectors with out cutting them, The delphi truck style connector does not offer that option.

Post a pic of the back of your flex injectors where the harness hooks to. I think they are EV6(LS2) type injectors but want to confirm.

Here is a pic of the EV6(USCAR):

Here is a pic of the Multech II(left) and EV6/USCAR(right):

There are 60lb+ injectors for all of those. IF the new flex fuel are something different then you might be SOL unless you cut off the connector.

I will try and find a pic of a EV1(minitimer) injector.
