Question Radix tune question? BlownChevy come in.

Been holding off my "after" Radix dyno because I thought I would hit the speed limiter @ 102 mph in 3rd gear much like in my baseline run and the pull would be pointless.

Talked to Magnasun today on another issue and the guy said that he thinks they increase the limiter with the radix tune. Said when they dynoed his truck it went up to 115mph or 125mph. He couldn't remember exacly.

Not that I would doubt the tech/salesman but he seemed a little unsure and hesitant about the answer.

Before I waste 90-100 bux getting it dynoed I would like to know if they is this true.

I'm hoping "yes" because that would be sweet. \

Thanks!

My radix tune limited out at 125mph on the dyno.

Pretty sure it is set at 125....you better make damn sure your driveshaft is rated for that speed.

From what I can best tell the one's with driveshaft breakage problems are the one's with the longer shafts like in extended cabs. I think they are aluminum and are 5-6" in diameter. My RCSB is steel and has held up to many 150+mph dyno pulls. Maybe some more will give their experiences.

I have had my truck up to 138 on the freeway, no problem, but I don't think I'd do it again without at least having some driveshaft loops. My DS is stock.

My DS is stock. Did 30 pulls in excess of 140mph's. I have loops but not installed yet.

You could always do the pulls in 2nd gear. But if you are comparing before and after, there will be bias.

my before pulls were made in 2nd cause of the speed limiter. I just want to get a good 3rd gear pull to see what she has, no more, no less. What's the top of 3rd gear in an 4Le80 with 3.73 gears? Thought it would be around 120-125 or so. Not worried about breaking it so much as hurting someone/something in the process.
