I wonder if I need some springs too???? I am running about the same amount of boost. Mine are stock and so is my cam. Is this a common problem at 10 psi +?

Yes, the added boost pushing against the valve "flare" is making it harder for the stock springs to quickly re-seat the valve before the piston comes up. valve float can cause a lot of problems.

your springs are fine.. and I thought you calmed it down, that 10psi was too much fun on the street.

I am trying to decide wether I should just throw springs in the stock heads that are on the truck, or just use the AFR 225cc heads that have been sitting in my garage for the last year and a half. The springs in those should be more than enough. What do you guys think?

The delima is I know myself, and If I throw on the AFR's then I will want to go ahead and do a cam at the same time, then I will have to go ahead and install the rod bolts I have been sitting on then its another trip to San Antonio for a new tune..............one small thing leads to a million more things. That is where the delima lies.

Drive the truck a little and have some fun with it. You can always add stuff later.
