No I havent changed the springs, and that is one of the things I am suspecting.

That must be nice! A plug change for me is about a four to five hour project. I have to pull the oil lines,Turbo, cross over, down pipe,oil dip stick tube, and pass header to get to the plugs. What a PITA. But on the other side of it I am getting really good at getting all that crap on and off.

I would almost guarantee that's at least part of the problem. Sounds like for you a spring change is easier than a plug change. A good set of springs isn't much more than a good set of plugs. I'd do the springs before I tore into the hot parts.

You can get yellow LS6 springs from SDPC for like $60. There good to .570 and I haven't had any problems with them.

I am going to run the Comp 918's... as I may research a cam that will better suit my turbo. 918's will give me a little more room to play with. I concur with kb though... the Z06 springs are also good... and cheaper than the 918's.
