Default Radix install, FRIDAY.

Should I have 918 springs, pushrods and retainers installed while i'm having my radix installed? I don't have a cam. I just figured since the motor is apart, I can install the springs and rods. Is it worth it with out a cam?

Thanks

It will be worth it when you decide to upgrade the cam & it's ready for you.

No tuning is necessary when installing springs and rods, right?

please tell me you are starting out with the supplied tune, and plan on a dyno tune after the install.

I have a Wester's tune in my possession. It's tuned for all my mods plus the Radix. I plan on having it dyno'd prior to the install and after. The shop has a dyno on site.

I would recommend useing the radix tune first and than once you get any bugs worked out than put the westers in. if you have any install issues you won't know where to start looking ie tune or radix, when I had my install done the truck ran like crap, if I would have had another tune in I would not have known where to start looking. Turned out that the manifold gasket got mangled on install. Pulled the radix off and fixed the gasket and have had no other problems.

Start with a stock tune, then the Radix tune, then do your tune or a dyno tune.
