Default Radix

So I just picked up a Radix, It's a satin finish unit. I am wondering if I can paint the body of the radix and manifold Black? Where do I have to take care not to damage things. Is the finish safe? I am going to leave the spine tips of the radix without paint. I will polish them up and paint the rest black. Than a clear. I know the area where the snout connects to the body will need to be masked. This is just an appearance mod. I will not paint the inside or under side of the manifold or charger itself. Any insight?

I have seen pics of them spray painted black. Def. looks cool. I think blownchevy might know the type of paint used.

There are a few guys that have painted their radix superchargers, the only problem is it will void the warranty on the blower.

Gimme a call if you are serious about the blower, year end sales are some that cant be missed

**edit, just noticed you PICKED IT UP...congrats!

This might sound stupid and a bit off subject, but wouldnt painting the Radix trap in more heat??

I don't see that being a problem. The bigger problem would be the paint melting...But high temp paint would take care of that.

you guys realize the blower is powder coated right? Painting it is not going to cause it to retain heat

So I am getting a radix. My LQ4 is on its way. I got a 10.5" Vigilanty Converter 3200 stall. 3.73 gears, eaton posi, wet shot of nitrous (possibly a 75 wet shot) 918 springs, zippy shift kit, and will have a custom flow master exhaust. On a stock bottom end would a Futral 232"/236" .585"/.600" 114LSA cam be too much? I have a 228/224 .575/.576 115+4 sitting here...but I don't think that will work on a radix. a 3.0 pully wont be out of the question. I already have a 160& T-stat and ASM headers with LS1 E-fans and a custom tune. Later on I am thinking of going with AFR heads. Any suggestions?

I am hoping with my heavy *** 20's (40lbs a wheel without tires) for low 12's. With the fiberglass bed and reg. cab I think thats doable. I really want a lopy cam. I think the mods I have will be more than enough and want the ambiance of a lopy cam even though it may be bad. Would any of those two cam be good for my setup?
