How difficult is it? The gasket is metal isn't it? If so then I can reuse that one right or do I need to get a new one? I want to try and change out my .68 with a .96 before a possible track day coming up shortly, and other than the tune I don't know what else needs changing or how complicated it is.

depending on turbo, make sure the housing are the same. Turbonetics P wheel for example. The new wheel is taller at the tip then the older wheels. So the old housing will not fit new wheels..

But then what? I mean I like my power, don't get me wrong but want to tweat some of the weak points in the system and among those points are A/R housing, cam, rear end gears, meth, boost reference line and I am seeing 10.3 AFR at WOT.

Should be pretty easy to do. Disconnect oil feed and drain (and coolant lines if it's water cooled), disconnect air filter from turbo inlet, charge pipe from outlet, any vacuum lines run to the compressor housing, remove bolts or v-band clamp from turbine outlet, remove 4 bolts from turbine inlet flange and you got yourself an uninstalled turbo. The there should be probably 8 bolts or so holding on a ring or something that keeps the turbine housing attached. Remove those, and the housing should slide right off.

Arent you goin to 3.73s or 3.42s?

Put that tiny turbo up front where it belongs, put the bigger housing on it and watch as you have a full range of power and spool time.

...yes you are right, that is true! However, since it's back here anyways... I thought I'd see what I can make of it before moving it up front which is where it will end up eventually.

You will make more power with less timing is the good thing I see from you doing the swap, plus some RPM range up top, but I fear you might loose some of the TQ. We will see though.
