Default Quick spool valve. Anyone use them.

Has anyone on here ever use a spool valve on their truck.
Real world please.

We are wrapping up a turbo build thinking we might need one.
Or build one.

I've used one. They definitely work. Had one on a T6 1.32ar s488 and it outspooled a nearly identical setup with a t4 1.25ar billet s480 by a good margin. The difference was unmistakable.

That's good to hear

Which port did you block off. Rear or front on the turbo.

The front port. Thats the only way the valve fit with the actuator hanging off of the flange.

I love the idea of these things. Seems like the benefits of a compound turbo system with none of the expense, plumbing and heat nightmares.

Thinking of building our own.
So it will fit on the truck and clear the other parts.
Need to find the actuator that I want to use.
So many combination of how we want this work.
From street to race set up.
