I actually drove the truck again, so things are getting better (although I still want to go ballistic every time I see a 350z in the mirror ) Sorry I missed your call, man, was a really hectic time...

Im thinking of going sts route, and just trying to figure a safe starting boost level.

 

Another question how is the daily driving for the STS kit and just turbo trucks in general, Because Im now going to have to put my truck in the snow and rain next year... Thanks again

 

If you go with the STS and its dual stage boost controller, you can set the low boost setting to as low as around 3lbs and the high boost setting where ever you want it.

There are other controllers out there, but we are talking about the STS setup.

So you can just keep tweakin it up as you get braver.

And, its controlled (hi/low) by a switch in the cab.

 

It drives like it is completely stock if you drive normal. When you go wot hang on.

 

I drive in the snow all winter and it is never a problem. The power never comes on suddenly until you go WOT. You will experience no surprises driving normally.

 

Im pretty brave, that translates into old enough to know better and too young too care. What Im really talking about is how much boost can the motor take with a big intercooler, and no meth/alky.

 

About driving in the snow and rain since the turbo is under the truck and exposed to pretty much everything, Has anybody had any problems with water being sucked up or anything of the sort? Thanks alot you guys are really helping me out.........
