Going to be shoe hinting this into a new toy.
Images go from
magnum 72, 4"
borgwarner T6 80mm
PT106.
This is going to need a support bracket to help hold the weight up.

The other turbos are mock up units.
The 106 is so dang heavy.
I need to use a cherry picker to hold in place to confirm fits and measurements.
The others I can hold with one hand while tacking or measuring.
Right now looks like gonna need to relocate the I water flow tank.

The turbo in the center is what I am running, and that felt big and heavy to me. The 106 next to it looks massive. That thing could inhale small children. What are the specs on the build?

What would you use that turbo on? I ask because right now I'm unsure about which single turbo to go with on my 427lsx. Original plans were to go twin 76s but now I'm looking into a big single. Any recommendations to handle over 1000rwhp?

A single that large is for purpose use. Usually a drag/max effort setup or someone who has big cubes, but wants the boost to come in very predictably. It is much easier to drive a street truck if you know exactly when the boost is going to hit. With a big turbo like this a certain amount of lag will be present. That lag will make the boost more predictable even if it does hit hard. If you want quick spool a 106 is not likely the answer even in a 1000rwhp 427. I would suggest something more like a 91mm BW S500sx.

A 106 is for that crazy guy that wants 2000+hp in a drag setup. Not a street friendly turbo at all.
For 1000 on a 427 I would do an 80-88 compressor and big 96mm or 104 turbine, maybe the garret gt55 or bw500, although the s500s are friggin huge!
