Default Procharger help

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some insight. I finished my dual belt setup and love it!!! That being said, I keep snapping my belts. They are new, not frayed, and nor are they after they break, just snapped. My first thought was belt was too tight, but it still has a little bit of play in it. My next, thought is maybe not tight enough but then they'd slip.

I have snapped two at WOT. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks in advance for any knowledge

Is it the 6rib or the 8 rib breaking?

It is the 8 rib blower belt. I don't seem to have any slippage or any other issue. After a few seconds of WOT, snap!!!!!

What brand belt? If I recall your spinning that blower really hard so my guess is the belt your using is not up to the task. Is it a goodyear? You might try a Gates Green Stripe FleetRunner http://www.gates.com/brochure.cfm?br...cation_id=1173

Too funny. Yes, it was a Goodyear Gatorback belt. Also, I just ordered two of the Gates HD belts. I don't think they're the same as the ones you suggested but it's their heavy duty belts. At $77 a piece I hope they hold up and that it is the only issue.

I bet the gates HD's will fix it the Green ones are the next step after the HD belt. The Gatorbacks have given me problems. So what are you at about a 60" belt? Whats nice about you setup is you could just order a 10rib crank pulley and 10rib blower plulley from Procharger and bolt it right up.

I honestly have no idea the belt size. I have a package out in my truck and I'll check tomorrow. I really hope it is just sh!tty belts.

You had mentioned you has issues with the Goodyear's as well, were they also snapping on you?

Here are a few. I'll get some new ones in the next few days. These are kicking around here under some different threads too but here they are.
