Are they breaking after being thrown off and wrapping around something?
I had a belt issue that turned out to be a misalignment with the power steering pump. Discovered it when I used the Gates laser alignment tool.
Ditto on those Gatorbacks, didn't last long.... Gates HD is best.

It might just be the angle of the photo, but the top nut (near the center of the alternator) looks suspect to me. It looks like it isn't threaded all the way, and could be allowing the bracket to flex, and cause your problem. That's where I'd start.

It's on there as tight as it'll go. I think a different size bolt was used is all that is. The new belt has held up a little longer but I'm not goin to do a WOT until my Gates HD ones arrive hopefully on Saturday. Then I'll try to break this one and see if the first one was a fluke or not.

You could pop the hood and watch from a safe distance and have someone rev the truck up pretty high to see whats going on. A 8 rib kit on a procharged truck kept trowing belts we laser aligned the pulleys and it still did it finally I watched as he revved the truck to about 6000rpm and the tensioner would flex forward and pitch the belt off.
