Can find a used D1 for half that easy. That's the route I'm going, buy a used D1 and have ATI check it over.

A friend just picked up a slightly used F1 for $900 including bracket and a few pulleys. He'll have to fab up the tubing himself but given what ATI sometimes supplies he'd probably wind up doing that anyway to save the migranes.

I like my P1. I would like to have more power just not ready to break somthing. Im running about 9psi without any problems. The nice thing about the centrifical blowers is you hardly get over 5 psi cruzing around unless you stomp on it. I think that makes for less wear and tear on the drivetrain.

Take a 5.3 with headers and normal bolt-ons.Then run the P1 at 10lbs peak against a D1 at 10lbs peak.

The P1 will have a stronger midrange power curve by upt to 40hp/40tq.

I've tested it.

Now,there are 3 P1's too. You have plain P1 ,P1-1,P1-2

I would love to see those numbers becuase it sounds to me like a loaded dyno.. I have never once seen a P1 come close to having more midrange than a D1 furthermore I have seen the D1 build boost barely off idle on the truck kits.

As for the 3 models of the P1.. they are based on the exsact same volute design.. the diffrences.. are in the gearing and rotation.. Just incase you didn't know.. Becuase all three self contained P1 series blowers are capable of the same exsact power numbers
