Hey Revolutionary. I had a friend with a ATI kit on his 4.6 f-150. He had it for a season, and when getting tuned, the unit seized up. Now finding out that the unit was leaking oil, and spun a bearing, but Procharger fixed the problem, and now its good again. I guess knowing how to keep oil inside would be the first problem. But aneways, thanks for the info. It is a kit i found that someone is selling. Just looked like a good deal, for what is included.

Ive got about 5k on my p1sc, no problems so far. I change the oil about every 4-5000 miles as they recommend. Anyone wanna trade me for a D1???? Im pretty happy with the P1 just never seems like enough, especially at my altitude 5,000 + ft.. Im sure the truck would be alot faster at sea level.

the statement I made about the D1sc truck vs the maggie truck at the same boost levels can be backed up Same person tuned both trucks same boost levels very similar mods.. the maggie truck is running dynatechs the procharger truck belanger headers with full stock exhaust. Both shiftkits and trailblazer stall converters and within 100 lbs of eachother raceweight the procharged truck runs back to back to back 12.90's and the Maggie truck runs 13.5-13.9 depending on how the IAT's are. As far as under the curve power yes the maggies have the torque but for anyone doubting the power under the curve of a procharged truck I would gladly put one to the other any day any time. I run a D1sc head and I have had many many p1sc head units that run really strong. The power bands are diffrent yes but in the awd silverado SS trucks I have seem really good gains with even the entry level procharger kits, with a 2 core and the p1sc.

As for the original point of this thread.. you left out the fact that your friends unit seized up from an oil leak. Now you can blame that on ATI if you choose to but if the unit was leaking then maintaining that oil level and or fixing the problem is something that I let fall on operator error. If it had a bad seal it should have been fixed before it got the chance to lock up.

If he had a problem keeping the oil in the blower I would say hes one in a very very small number of people having that problem you have another reply here with over 70k on his p1sc head unit. I have a family member that bought his kit though me in 1999 and he has been running it on a fairly stock suburban that currently has 130k on it the only thing that he does is change the SC oil every 5000 miles and plugs every 20k miles.

I've got a P600-B on ND RAM and love it. I know, it's the baby Procharger, but she still delivers good power. Can anybody tell me if P600-B impeller and gears can be replaced with D-1 units?

no I believe you need to get the whole D-1 housing. the P600's are a different design.

Damn! I was afraid of that. I figured I'd ask though since the dimensions appeared to indicate they used the same housing.
