Default procharger and cats

I run a 4.25 in. pulley on my D1SC with stock cats and I see 10# of boost at 5800 rpm.If I remove the cats could I run a 4.00 in. pulley and build boost at a lower rpm and still see 10# at 5800.I really don't want over 10# peak because my 5.3 is stock.

If you want more boost down low and still have same boost up top you need a higher stall TC. It made a huge diff. when I had the procharger.

A higher stall converter is the ticket with a centrifical. I've tested my truck out up to a 5,000 stall. What a head rush! lol I've settled for a 3,700 stall. 4,000 was just a tad much for a DD. If it was my decision...I'd yank the cat's and stay with the 4.25" pulley first. If your not happy with the results, then pulley down.

yeah I would cut the cats a throw at least a 3200 stall in it, and it will fill like a whole new ride. TRUST ME

Pardon my ignorance, but what are the implications to launching if you have a higher stall converter? I just bought an Escalade wih a Procharger and it takes a while to get going then goes like a violated ape!

So can you get the RPM's up without braking to a certain point and then beyond that point you begin moving? And have a head start on the RPMs?

Sorry for my ignorance on this topic.....

edit - I get it now!!!!!

What stall speed for me? Need a built tranny for this? Assume so....
