Default Towing with Turbo setup result's

Towed my open trailer today with a Vette on it about 60 miles with the laptop hooked up. The extra power definitely helps.Did a few WOT run's from 0 to 85mph and some heavy load runs up hills. Truck did good. Truck only got KR of 1.5 degree's at the top of second gear which I was quick and turned on the meth with got rid of the KR instantly.

So,I'm pretty happy with this setup. Towing was done with the stock 7lbs of boost, intercooler and no meth except noted above.Timing was 36 degree's at light cruise and 17.5 degree's under full boost on 93 octain.

0-85 did you know you where speeding. So while towing notice in lengthy times of being in boost, on flatlands. Did you pull in 3rd or OD?

I was doing both, mostly OD. In 3rd the spool is stupid fast.It stayed out of boost most of the time, flatlands required no boost at all, even up minor hills it needed no boost to maintain a constant speed.I did nail it once up a hill from a stop and left about 50' of rubber, not bad for towing around 5000lbs

He has my old Trans, 12inch Midwest TC 1,800rpm stall (perfect for heavy towing). Performance Transmission and Automotive put the trans together, shes a strong beyotch..

Slohawk, what were your EGT's while towing that load? I bt the meth helped keep them down a lot... thats next on my list...

My sisters Rodeo broke down so I loaded it up in my enclosed trailer to take it to a buddies to work on it . You definately could tell it was back there, The trip was only like 15 miles but in friday evening traffic. My guess the Rodeo weighs about 4,000 + my trailer another 4,000 is 8,000 lbs. total. It ran fine tranny temps got up to maybe 205* . The truck moves out pretty good with the trailer empty though.
