Hey all
99rcsb. Has a lq9, with stage 2.5 243'a, 231/231 111lsa, full bolt ons, t56 trans and all the good stuff. Truck does have a racetronix module with a walbro 255 and a hot wire kit. Everything works wicked as it sits, and drives fine.
I want to add a little boost this winter. Ive asked before and some very knowledgable people said my setup should be fine as long as I keep the boost low,6-8 psi.
Im looking at a D-1sc upgrade, 60lbs injectors, 3 core intercooler, and not getting the inline pump or FMU as i believe it would just be a waste. Truck has supporting gauges in truck for monitoring already.
What else am I missing? What advice can any lend me on other items i should get at the same time?
thanks

I think the D-1sc would be overkill for the 6-8psi range... Save yourself some money and just pick up a P-1sc. I think it would work better for the kind of boost you're looking to make.

I would definetly do the d-1 and keep it low boost.. your truck should make great power even out of boost then scream. Then later on if you decide to you can lower compression and up the boost.

P-1sc-1 procharger on it, running only 7psi, the other day! And man it was a blast!

for reference a P1sc can get it done, i make 540 on 12 psi or i make 500 on 12 psi with a lazy daily tune
LC9 5.3, trickflow 220s, 218/218 570/570 112 cam, 1 3/4 headers, 2.5" ORY into 4" exhaust
35x12x20s for wheels/tires
thru a 6l80 trans

You would certainly not be making a mistake going ahead and doing the d1sc. There are no cons......only pros. Sometimes I think procharger made the p1sc to set the hook, then sell the d1sc. I typically can't think of a time when the p1sc is a better idea than the d1sc.......low boost or not.
Sounds like it could be an awesome set up.
