Sureshot runs the newer style bracket like you. He said he used to run a 114" belt with a 3.6" pulley. I'd say a 114" should be good with a 3.85.
What is your belt part number?
Also did you modify the aluminum spacers that get used with the alternator bolts? There's a mod to do to them so they can hold the alternator tightly.

i ended up getting a 113" belt but it won't fit no way no how a 114" is perfect theres about 1/2 to 1 inch before the tensioner bottoms out before it tightens up on the belt
I'm running the stock size idler pulley which i think is 90mm iirc
