Default Plugs and wires

I am fixing to change my plugs and wires on my 5.3 with a mp112. Magnacharger said to stay with stock plugs and wires. I see alot of guys running ngk tr6 and Taylor wires. Is this a better setup? Would any plug be good as long as it runs cooler than stock

Tr6s with Scott wires would be the best.

Wires don't matter. Stock will be just as good as any of the aftermarket ones.

For higher boost applications TR6's would be better. If you're running just the standard 5-6 psi I'd stick with Magnacharger's recommendations.

So if u go from a 7mm to 8mm size wire it wouldn't make a difference? Not trying to be a pain here just would like to know before I spend the money.

nope, wire is too short to make any difference. Mine are stock with TR6.

Exactly. I was running stock plug wires on my (estimated) 700 rwhp turbo setup. No issues. Only reason I can see to buy other plug wires is if you want a different color.

Fiberglass plug wire shields are a lot cheaper and will work better than new "thicker" plug wires.
