I have a local friend going to turbo his truck. its a 2003 sierra with a 4.8 that's basically stock. he has his own flipped manifold setup made up already and wants to run this. it is his daily driver and he does want to get it in t4 with the .90 a/r turbine housing. would it be suitable for that small of an engine?

Call Jose at Forced Inductions and get him to spec a turbo for his setup. Thats alot of turbo for a true daily driver 4.8.

 

If I was doing a 4.8 that's the turbo I'd run. 83mm turbine with .90 T4 housing. Basically same turbo I run on my 6.0 and it comes on stupid fast with the stock converter. With the right converter on that 4.8 it will come on fast and there wont be any limitations up top either.

 

I think he already has a converter not 100% sure though. I don't know what his power goals are. but I do know he wants a 10 second truck. so I doubt a on3 76mm will take him there. lol
