Default Open waste-gate with KB kit?

Hey guys I am running a KB T76 kit and want to run my wastegate open. Has anyone else with the KB kit run theirs open? What did you use to plug the hole in the downpipe with? I was thinking i could just cut some sheet metal and make a plug to work with the clamp that secures the other end of the waste gate onto the downpipe.

Anyway, curious to see if anyone else here has done that.

I know that but I was thinking it would be better to relieve pressure in the exhaust after getting on the throttle since I am still running a hooker aerochamber muffler.

I just did mine this way. My flex joint had a terrible leak so I got my sawzall and went to cutting. I cut the peice on the the down pipe off and welded a patch over the hole and a new solid peice of pipe to the wg and it dumps straight down.
And YES its stupid loud. I don't like it as much as before because I can't head my turbo much anymore lol

I had that with my STS and it is stupid loud, I wouldn't do it again because it really takes away from the sweet sound of the turbo spoolin.

I had him make me a block off plate with a bracket that connects to the wastegate for extra support.

Ran my first front mount kit with a seperate 1 3/4" down pipe that dumped by the driver side fire wall. It was freakin loud and no turbo sound to be heard. But it did work good just dont want a kit like that ever again lol
