Default Ok, Please School The Newbie---thanks!

I'm the proud and happy owner of a '04 Silverado SS. I absolutely love this truck!!! I'm going to the track this weekend and a buddy and me are trying to come to terms on a race between his camaro and my truck. I've done some research and the #'s are all over the place so I'll post up a new thread.

What should my truck run approximately based off my mods:

Magnacharger (Intercooled)
2.8 pulley (9-10 psi) --- crank is pinned too
TB converter (seems to stall around 3000)
GT2-3 Cam
Shorty headers
Stock mid pipe w/ cat
Corsa sport exhaust cat back
Volant cold air kit
Lightning 42lb injectors
Zippy (I believe) tune
And I swear it has 3.73 gears in it, but not 100% sure

I have no idea except that I had a 300 SRT-8 messing with me and we both jumped on it (I was behind him on a 2 lane road) and he couldn't shake me from a 15 roll. In fact, I had to let up because I was going to drive over him if I didn't.

My gut instinct says 13.20-13.40's. My hope is 12.90's....

I'd love to see some of your similar combos results with basic tunes (Zippy, Nelson, etc). Not tunes that have been heavily massaged to get every last ounce out. I can tell you that the timing was only showing 11 degrees (@130 IAT) on a Tech 2 at redline shifting out of first. Seems like it should be higher (17ish). Thanks again.

Did you buy this truck already set up I guess? WOW! I would guess the same as you, maybe a 13.1 at best. HOWEVER, 11*'s is leaving alot of power on the table. So, maybe 13.6ish with 11 to 13*'s of timing.

Doing a little google work...

***EDIT, now that I think about it...those damn SS higher compression motors really blow me away sometimes. (cough cough krambo)

Yes, I picked it up cheap on e-bay. It had a fueling problem (low pressure/repeat pump failures) and it ran horrible under heavy acceleration. I've had centrifigal superchargers (Vortech/Procharger), but never a magnacharger, whipple, etc. WOW!!!! I love the big block feel. What a torque monster Now I see why guys love them so much!

I will guesstimate low 13's too but like Dewey says there's quite a bit left on the table. Running on the track is nothing like on the street, excpecially when your rolling already. The '04 is 2wd?

Awd. I'll let you guys know what it runs. I'd love to put a stiffer tune in it---any recommendations for software?

HPTuners or EFI Live those are the two top choices....both great both so completely different....this topic usually starts debate but just spend some time reading and all the answers will be there.

Detroit MI area. Will be racing at Milan, Lapeer, Ubly, Norwalk, etc. I probably won't rage on this too much until I get a beater car, but I want to see what it will do. Are you local to this area?
