If that fuel pressure problem is solved the truck has enough parts to go well into the 12's. The timing is very mild because he never got the fuel pressure issue figured out. With the fueling problem fixed there is quite a bit of room to go. We had it on the dyno at W2W and never even got to make it past 4500rpm or so because the fuel pressure kept dropping.

Pressure is 62 with mechanical gauge taped to winshield, but it will drop 3 psi when you stab the throttle. This happens even when you rap the throttle in park. I've heard from some that this is normal, others that it isn't. The truck seems to run fine, but I haven't put a wideband on it to confirm.

Maybe, I'll put a gauge setup on it and watch pressure at WOT in 3rd to confirm everything is good. If it is, would we have to have the truck on a dyno to flash it with a wilder tune?

Do you know if it ever went down the track and what it ran? I think I seen a post where he went 13.60 at some low mph like 101 or something???

Also, do you know what he did to the trans. The 2nd feels really managed. From some of his posts, it looks like he changed his mind on upgrading the trans (sold off all kinds of high perf trans parts) and maybe went with the stock servos, etc. If so, I'm guessing that the shift is heavily torque managed? Thanks Zippy!

What's the forum u mean? Isn't it Motown Muscle or something like that?

Hit me up w/ a PM. We'll go do some chit. Especially if u want to go Milan. I'm about 1/2 betw. Milan & Ubly. I've heard Lapeer sucks, maybe it is better now. There's a few from SE Mich. on here. I posted awhile ago tryin to get some PT.net boys from Michigan to Milan. It was under Regional Forums. That thread crashed & burned. I guess if I lived in Houston, CA, or anywhere in TX for that matter, a bigger group would show.
Let me know.

I believe he ran something like a 13.2 or so. The timing could be fixed without putting it on a dyno, it was just easier to tune that way and still watch the fuel pressure. I'm not sure on the trans, I believe he went through 5 of them or so.

Well all that makes huge sense then. Holding the timing back due to the fuel issues. Shweet, turn that timing back up!!!

slowfive0, too bad you couldn't convince Zippy to go to Lapeer. I just did a general search, & he's like ~175 miles away. Over 2 1/2hrs. Whew! Zippy, do u make it this way often?

Wow, that would be awesome if this goes 13.20's or better! When you guys were watching the pressure, were you using the autometer gauge he had or did you have a mechanical gauge hooked up? I found that the gauge is inaccurate. It shows around 50 psi, when the mechanical shows 62. That's an interesting story considering the factory fuel pressure hook up is gone (aftermarket rails)..... lol

Do you have to have the truck to do a reflash? Thanks again for all of your help.
